The Down Low on Just Strong

Hey guys! So I was tossing up whether or not to write this post, but I thought I'd share a little bit around why I decided to align my brand with the active wear label Just Strong when there are SO many out there to chose from! And also share my take on the garment quality, customer service, and shipping times to Australia! In fact, one of the things that almost turned me away from Just Strong was the fact that they're not an Australian company! I like to support local where I can, so I really looked hard for an Australian brand I could work with but I just didn't find any with a reputable ambassador program and a mission I could really get behind! And believe me, I looked at soo many - when the Google algorithm decides you want to look at activewear, you get ads popping up from every brand that ever existed! I guess what made me choose Just Strong over all the others though was the message behind the brand: not just strong for a woman; just strong! I can't count the number of times I've been told I'm "pretty strong, for a girl," so the message really hit home for me! I was that girl that could beat the boys in arm wrestles, and could sling a bale of hay or a bag of feed because it was my job to feed the horses and cows before and after school as a kid. So it's empowering to me to be Just Strong. I am strong, and I can own that! Just Strong is about mental strength as much as physical strength though, and being mentally strong is something I'm coming to understand more and more. This year I have been enjoying meditation and yoga as ways to practice mental well being, but I've still got so much to learn! So I'm excited to learn from other girls in the Just Strong team about what it means to be mentally strong! The fact that I have never owned activewear before means I really have no idea what makes one brand better than another, so it's a bit of an experiment for me to even try out activewear in the first place! I've just been working out in daggy house clothes, but I wanted to look good and feel good about myself, which is why I went looking for active wear to begin with. Given the price of Just Strong gear, I am quite impressed with the quality! Since it is on the cheaper side, I was concerned that it might be high priced poor quality. And although I'm sure there's higher quality brands out there (that also cost an arm and a leg), I think the price accurately reflects the garment quality! The only concern I would have is that the black leggings aren't entirely squat proof, which doesn't really worry me, since I don't go to an actual gym - but I probably won't buy them again! The sizing is very true to size! I ordered just what I would normally wear, and everything fits well. The only weird thing is the seamless tights are sized small as being 6/8, and medium as being 10/12, with nothing in between! I'm usually in between and 8 and a 10 if anything, so I find this very awkward sizes to deal with!! So I bought the small (pictured below), which fits, but is maybe a tad short in the legs... and with my next order, I'm going to try a medium, and see how big they are! But the tops all fit well, and the black tights that are sized differently, fit perfect! Now the part you've been waiting to read; how long did it take to turn up!? My parcel did take a while to arrive, international postage versus covid and all that! But I think all things considered it was reasonable, and customer support was very contactable the whole time; my emails were replied to very quickly! My order was shipped within 5 business days of me placing it, and when it hadn't arrived within 3 more weeks, I emailed Just Strong asking to check the tracking details. They provided them straight away, and I found that my parcel was in Brisbane, so if I lived in an urban area I would have recieved it within the estimated time. As it was, it took another week to make it to rural Queensland, but that's pretty normal for us where we live! The quality of customer service and contactability is reassuring when ordering from overseas, and they also have a fair returns policy, which I have found to be important since the print on one of my tops has started to peel after just a few washes, and they've straight offered me a refund or replacement! So that's my take! I guess like anything there's ups and downs, but I'm excited to partner with such an empowering mission, and expand my network with the team of Just Strong women!
