Visualising Your Dream Life

Hey guys, I'm really excited because I've just put together my first vision board! It's something I first heard of a little over a year ago, but at the time I thought it was all a little too woo-woo... plus, I really didn't have any vision or big goals for myself! When I first started working online, I really had no vision of what I actually wanted out of life; all I knew was that something had to change, so I did! It took a good couple of months for my vision to start forming in my minds eye, then it would crumble or slip away from me and I'd go back to feeling lost again! My mentor in business suggested that I check out the Vision Board Workshop we have in the Healthstyle Emporium member portal, and i did watch it, but dismissed it as being not for me. But see, the thing about the network marketing profession is that there is unlimited personal development! There was constant reminders popping up everywhere; a leader on team training would mention the power of vision, another client webinar would be about goal setting, or even podcasts or social media posts would direct me toward the idea of vision boards, mission statements and manifestation! So after a while, I thought, maybe it's time to embark on this part of my journey!?

I find I'm more of a written word person, rather than a visual person, so I started with a mission statement. Towards the end of 2020 I done a workshop to create my mission statement, which is a page and a half of text. The idea is to read it every morning to visualise the life you are creating and the mission you are living; but since I don't always have time to read it in the morning, I recorded it as a voice clip on my phone, and I listen to it while I'm getting ready for work! I'm finding it a powerful and positive way to start my day - listening to myself instead of someone else! Sometimes it's easy to get overwhelmed by what everyone else thinks we 'should' do, so I always try and listen to my own dreams before I open social media or listen to someone else on a podcast! Then I came to the realisation lately that I had stopped pushing myself; I'd stopped growing. So I decided to do the scary thing: put my dreams and vision for my life down on paper, and make it real! A couple of podcasts really helped me know where to start when it came to creating my vision board; The She's Unshakeable Podcast has an episode called Vision Board, and the Your Daley Pass podcast has an episode called Goals. But I think you need to do it in a way that feels good for you too! Fleur from She's Unshakeable really helped me to think about what kind of things to put on my board, so I decided to stick with the 9 segments she suggested, even though other people have suggested that there's no significance in placing different things in different spots on your board! I'm slowly setting myself up a workspace in our office, rather than just working from the lounge or kitchen table, so I've added my vision board to my wall with my whiteboard of business goals, and my team and client trackers that I use to keep track on! I'm loving the mix of visual, written word, and audio that fills me up with my dreams and goals first thing in the morning when I take my cuppa into the office and write down my grattitudes and intentions! Only the future can tell what will happen from being more intentional about my life and business, but I'm excited to see what I can create for myself as I delve into a little more woo-woo! Here's a little sneaky peek at my board, in case you need some ideas!
